9-11: Move Up
It's 9-11. I was mistakenly going to say "Move on!" but I know that is neither kind nor accurate. For too many, this is a day to "relive" and "rehash" and “rewound”, but something in me says it is all to be forgiven...no matter what version of the story you believe. It's more like, "Move up!"
Move up past the lies and deceit, the tragedy and terror, the grief, and the human need to kill and avenge. Move up past pointing fingers, greed, hypocrisy and justification for endless war and outrage . Move up past the ghosts that feed on the never-ending sadness and deeply ingrained fear. Move up. Move up. Keep moving up.
If the world is forever changed, then do everything you can to ensure it’s a better one and not some illusion of safety and normalcy projected by those who would all too happily create dytopia.
Only when we stand in our power can we then move on. Then and only then will the losses (of lives, liberties, and innocence) that day not have been in vain.
That's my unsolicited voice on the subject. I'm done.
